A proper pre-sleep routine is the best sleeping aid you can think of. Establishing the right practices help fall asleep faster and stay asleep well until morning. Setting bedtime rituals will lull you to bed providing a healthy sleep for your well-being.

A sleep schedule is important for the sleep patterns. Going to bed at the same time each day (yes, even on weekends) can reinforce the circadian rhythms. You will wake up easier, feel more concentrated at work, won’t be sluggish during the day.

Stick to the same bedtime routine every day. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day even on weekends. Once you adopt a regular schedule, you will notice how your body adjusts and gets used to it. It will become easier to wake up in the mornings and feel fresh during the day.

There is a different pre-sleep routine for everyone. You need to experiment a bit and find something that suits you best and helps you unwind after a day and switch to a sleep mode. Your routine can include pretty much anything that calms you down and makes you more relaxed. It can be meditations, yoga, foam rolling, walking outside, reading. Just choose what you like – there’s no point of doing yoga before bed if you’re not really into it.
