The healthy daily water intake is the body weight multiplied by 35-40 ml (so a 60-kg person should drink 2.1-2.4 liters per day). "Drinking water" habit isn't something that suddenly appears from nowhere, its's something you develop. With these few tricks you will adopt a healthy habit and make it stick:

  1. Drink 1 glass of water first thing in the morning to immediately rehydrate your body.
  2. We often mistake thirst for hunger, so try drinking water 20 minutes before mealtime to prevent overeating.
  3. Be creative and keep it natural: infuse water with fresh fruit, veggies and berries.
  4. Use apps and gadgets to help you track your water intake.
  5. To make the process more entertaining use a fancy water bottle or glasses with colorful straws instead of boring plastic cups.
  6. Always keep water at hand: when it's right in front of you, it's much easier to remember to have a sip here and there.
  7. Bring along a bottle of water at all times: whenever you go out for a walk or on a bike ride.

At a certain point you will no longer need any reminders: you'll be drinking enough water by force of habit. Be sure, as soon as your body starts getting enough water on a regular basis you will notice improvements in your overall health.
