The role of carbohydrates is to provide energy to the body. Though our body produces some carbohydrates, it's not enough and we need to get our carbohydrates from food. Such carbs can be found in fruit, vegetables, milk, juice, ice cream, candy, cakes Complex carbohydrates have 3 or more sugars, fiber and starch. They are made up of long chains of sugar molecules and take longer to break down. Complex carbs provide a long-lasting energy and are a good choise for healthy nutrition. Try to add least processed or refined carbohydrates into your diet. Whole grain, starchy vegetables and legumes are a good option.
