Sometimes we might not pay too much attention to decorating our bedroom. Instead, we usually focus on more visible parts of the house, like the living room. But bedroom design is important for a good sleep. It is a good idea to invest into a place where you meet mornings and build your mood for the rest of the day.
To build a relaxing and calming atmosphere in your bedroom choose the cool colors. The best colors for a good night rest are blue, light grey, dusty pink or green. These colors tend to reduce heart rate, lower blood pressure and overall have soothing effects. Make sure to stick with pastel and avoid bright and dark colors. It's been scientifically proven that bedrooms colored in blue are the best for peaceful sleep. Try to avoid sterile white and red colors in your bedroom.
Decorate your bedroom with plants. They release oxygen and create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. You can substitute plants with pictures and photos of nature. They don’t contribute to the air flow in your bedroom but they are still good for building a relaxing atmosphere.
Create more open space. Clear your bedroom by hiding away all the unneeded stuff especially work related objects. A messy room will make your life messy too. Shut all the closets during the night and close the bathroom door.
Hang bed canopy. Textiles around your bed will give you an amazing cozy feeling and will help you sleep better. Throw more pillows on your bed to make it look comfy. Also try to avoid carpet in the bedroom. It’s a dust collector that makes your room stuffy and might cause allergies.
Try to stick with this advice to wake up happy and full of energy in the morning.
