If you eat just 3 meals a day, you may feel hungry between meals (and most likely, you will). Snacks are often associated with something unhealthy, like chips, cookies or chocolate bars. However, the right snacks can be your loyal friends on your way to fat loss. You know that you'll be hungry, and when you are starving, you don't have time to read labels. Your body just needs sugar and energy, and you grab the first chocolate bar that you see. Afterwards, you feel pangs of guilt. The main thing here is to be prepared. Keep fresh fruit and veggie sticks at work – you'll have them at hand and be able to make a choice between an apple and a cookie when they are both available. Carry some dried fruits and nuts with you – they are very nutritious, and you need just a few ounces to feel satisfied. Some cereal bars are also a good snack option. Just read the label and check the amount of sugar they have– they often have too much. One healthier option for snacking is Greek yogurt – not only is it tasty and convenient to eat, it's also a great source of protein.
