If you follow all weight loss rules that we listed, you'll see results. However, there is additional advice worth mentioning. If you think you do everything necessary but your weight is still the same and you don't see any difference in how you look, you may be doing something wrong. For example, you may not be counting all calories. Some believe that only big meals need to be counted. However, snacks and drinks also have calories and count towards your daily calorie allowance. Don't forget to include them in your food journal – and you may find that you exceed your daily limit. Second, you may be too hard to yourself. Remember, food is not your enemy, it is your friend and health ally. Don't be too strict with yourself. Follow healthy eating guidelines but try not to let yourself get hungry too often or eat less than 1500 calories a day. Third, you may be eating too much. Even if your food is healthy, you still need to watch your portions. Eating too much will not allow you to have calorie deficit that you need to effectively lose weight. There are lots of other factors that can hamper the process of losing fat – skipping breakfast, not getting enough sleep, or going overboard on a cheat day to name a few.
