When you upload logs, the Stream Deck log file and the plugin log file will be uploaded to the plugin server.
Once uploaded, only the plugin administrator can access the files; they cannot be accessed from the Internet.
None of the log files contains personal information, but they may include details about your devices and configuration.
- The Stream Deck log file contains information about installed plugins and Stream Deck devices, including serial numbers. It doesn't include any account, password, or other personal details.
-
The plugin log file contains information about MIDI ports, referenced files, and plugin activities.
It does not log account, password, or other personal information unless you have explicitly included such details in plugin scripts.
- If file paths in either log file include your user ID on your local computer, such as the path to your Documents folder, the actual user ID is replaced with the generic "***" in the log.
Don't upload log files if you're uncomfortable sharing this information.
However, keep in mind that this will complicate troubleshooting.
The upload will receive an ID in this format:
e10e5eb2-0df2-4104-9bfa-acddda7db364
Once the files are uploaded successfully, the ID will appear in the editor.
This ID is crucial for linking your upload to your bug report; make sure to include it in your report.
You can right-click the ID field to copy the ID to the clipboard.
